My son likes figuring things out himself, and the papier-mâché process was the part he kept talking about. The result depends on how patiently the layers are built, though overall the concept is good.

We wanted an easygoing activity at home rather than another movie night. The freedom to make different designs worked well for that. Drying time is an important part of this activity, but that was manageable.

My kid was most interested in making a colourful mask. It gave us something to talk about besides cartoons, and the hands-on part was a big plus.

Tried this with family over the weekend. Building shapes out of paper gave everyone something small to contribute, and the time together was the best bit.

After a long week, doing layering paper with glue at home felt like a refreshing change. Young kids will need help with the glue stage, so I would not rush the activity.
